I met a girl.........who loves Deefers

During the course of my work day I came across a Defender and asked the lady if it was hers and she replied yes it was and she loves it a 300TDi on diesel gas no less, it also has some protective covering in the back like a spray on ute liner andsome cool canvas seats.
During the course of our conversation she also owns a Honda VTR250 a smaller version of my bike....go figure...
Well because she is a Landy nut like us I gave her the details of our website...
So if she introduces herself...we will have to include her and her partner for one of our outtings?

My wife loves our Defender. She wanted it over a Patrol or LC100. So, as usual, I bent to her will. It's pretty cool on the school run next to the shinies.

There's a surprising amount of girls out there who love landies. :D My fiance loves our S3 and she is hell bent on getting a 110 to go round australia in! About the only thing she doesn't like is the fact that the spiders love the landy about as much as she does. hehehe

She makes me fumigate it with the baygon before we take it out!

My wife likes the Defender as well, in fact she's put more km on it in the last year than I did in the previous 4.

I suppose that's what happens when you take it to North Parra and back each day.

It was her that convinced me top get it in the first place, I was getting disillusioned trying to find a second hand one - she told me to buy a new one :D:D

My wife used the 90 as her car while we were in the uk. She swapped it for her freelander and she had and prefered it to the freelander.

We were in a dealership the other day looking for a new car. I was looking at a Discovery and she was saying she did not want one she wanted a 110 as she liked them alot more than the disco.

When she heard about the anniversary model was coming out she was furious and I had to convince her we didn't need to trade in our 5 month old car to get a few extras and a badge!

In her job she works with a lot of tyre and mechanical shops and if she goes on site with one of the blokes from the office the mechanics always walk around the defender and nod their head towards her work mate to say nice truck and they then have to be corrected and tell them it's hers :D

My partner drives our 98 defer everyday. She used to do about 1000ks a week in it. She still chooses to drive it when she has the option of driving our other little more modern hatch. I think it has something to do with the landie being a "man magnet" and that she gets to make fun of her collegues who drive shiny prado's and CRV's.

Even then I spend more time on the weekends adding or fixing things more then driving it.But she loves it she didnt want a tojo or patrol she likes the classic look..

I'm in the same boat! When we got to Oz early last year I needed a car in Perth for her to drive. Long debate about a little car for her while I'm away on FIFO, but no, she wanted a Puma 90! Having had Defenders for many years, I thought that maybe a D4 might be a better option considering climate and distance...? I was told that she doesn't "do" automatic and only if I can get her a manual D4 will she consider changing her mind!:eek:

That said, we both love our Stornoway Grey 90 to bits!:D
