A friend of mine who works at a tyre shop (not to be named) has offered me VERY cheap tyres for the rangie. Now I dont know what Size/ tread to fit.
I am currently running 32,10.5,15 mongrels. but want to go to a 33 or 35. what size/treads are others running?
Cheers Steve

they are biggies. There are so many variants.
For road use there is no way I would go so big.
They wear out all running gear, gear boxes and power steer units.
In most off road applications big tyres are no use at all.
You ever seen real aussies in the outback with big foot tyres like that.
They split and blow and cost a fortune.
They are mostly for looks unless you have a specific application of course.
Get skinnies or just normal tyres. BFG or michelin xpc.
get great tread wear and handling.
Best of luck.

I am running 32x9.5r16's i would like eventually like to go to 33" but need a few mods first.I don't think i will go the extra mods to fit 35's just to much money for me to justify. But the higher the diffs the better but you still have to drive them.Cheers Brett

That’s not entirely true yes wear and tear etc unless you have beefed up gear but the bloke might like hard rock crawling and is building his Rangie that way most tracks in NSW are that way inclined
35's with bead locks will go further then 32 skinnies mate, any day
But in my opinion 2 inch lift go 33’s 4 inch lift 35’s I cant wait till my 32’s wear out so I justify new tyres to the wife and go 34’s Cooper STT of coarse
however do agree with tyre wear also so get coopers ;) :D

I had 33/12.50-15 cooper muddies on with 2"body lift, tyres would still toutch on agresive bump but only just, had 308ghm pushing it ok but brake pads started to whear quicker, they take alot more to stop. I like the biger tyres as they can be let down on corrigated road and lime stone out crops, keeps back in one piece, had bfg muddies on cruiser ute and got 102000km on first set and 85000 on second set:D I've put it down to not having the horse power to spin the back wheels(as in wheel slip) so i'll be puting them on the new toy as soon as its on the road.

I have 35's on my rangie in a goodyear MTR. great tyre and they dont scrub with a 3" spring and 3" body lift.
fantasic on the road, awesome in the bush..... been running 35's for a couple of years had no drama's with any type of damage to driveline etc etc
And they look the part as well :)
