Hi Everyone

Im appealling to everyone in the offroading community to help locate my stolen trailer.

To cut a long story short my beloved full aluminium car trailer has gone missing from its storage location in Malaga last night

Its an imported "featherlite trailer" as I say full alloy and has a custom tyre rack built on the front and recently added security mesh

Trailer Rego is SJ 2865
VIN 4FGA417237H102307

Its a double axle trailer with twin electric brakes, new tyres etc

If anyone sees an alloy car trailer around its proably mine as this has been imported from the US and suitably modified for Australian Standards

Photos of one just like it are here ( except we have added the storage at the front)

http://www.featherlitetrailers.com.au/trailer.aspx?ID=24 (http://www.featherlitetrailers.com.au/trailer.aspx?ID=24)

Please ring me if you see or know anything 0403 189 249

Reward offered for successful recovery

nice trailer,
the bastards will have to unload it a long way from you, as it is distintive.
although they probably realise that it may be hard to fence,
they may have pinched it for the wheels and tyres.
i wish you luck in locating it and hope it is not trashed.

Mongrels!

Have you reported it to the manufacturer?

Nice trailer! Unfortunately it would fetch a good price at the scrap dealers:( I hope the bastards get caught before any damage is done to it.

Thanks Guys

Please all keep a look out. Multiple industrial units were rolled over that night and its will be the same bunch of crooks. They have in one case ruined the guys business

Im quite lucky as this trailer in unique and I want to make it as hard as possible for them to sell or scrap it

Fingers crossed it turns up

Its put quite dent in the preparation for this years Aust Safari but we are all remaining positive

Thanks to the various branches of Rovacraft around the country who are also on the look out and spreading the word amongst the landrover community

Hope you get it back, unfortunately it is often the scrap steel merchants who are also the thieves.

In Sydney, they have been picking up currently registered cars off the street and crushing them the same day. They don't need to record the numbers or anything because the evidence is flattened and off the premises to Simmsmetal or Smorgons often within hours.

Crikey! I won't ask what it's worth.

I was thinking the same thing, but it is a magnificent looking trailer.

Great news that it was found.

They are worth lots... I have one... They weigh about 571kg.. And yes, you need to insure em as aluminium thieves love em like gold!

as you have invested so heavily into this fab trailer ever thought of also investing in an electric bollard? the f..kers would be hard pressed to half inch it then.
you can drive a fully laden 7.5 tonne truck at those things and the truck literally falls apart whilst the post still works.
beats the hell out of a chain cos if they are tooled for buggery er i mean burglary they will have at the very least a nail file regards andy
p.s.
3 cheers for wapol nice to see they do get results

Good to hear you got it back again, if damaged.

Did the police catch the buggers that nicked it?

Wow

I didnt still think this thread was still going

Yes police caught them red handed as they were using it to steal 4wds

But if your going to get into a police chase it helps if you dont have a stolen 4wd on the back and have the elec brakes plugged in!!!!!
