Hi Guys , I know this is brought up a lot but i was thinking seriously about a body lift for my D1. Reason for this is I am running 32x11.5x15's on hurricane rims and a 2inch lift and have taken over an inch off for the camel cut but yet the tyres still rub on rough ground . Now i was thinking of a 1 inch lift to keep the cost of it down just a bit . Just wanting some thoughts from you guys on what you think is the best way ? Lift or not to lift ?
Does anyone in Australia sell then ? have seen a lot of the kits on the UK ebay .

There's so much more stuff to deal with when you do a body lift, because your radiator, bumper, gear shift sticks, wiring looms, etc. are all going to be at a different height to the body.
Would you consider cutting the guards and fitting aftermarket flares?

Hi Mate , Have thought about that as well . I'm thinking it will cost about the same as doing the body lift . Plus i'm not a huge fan of the flares :).

I have just fitted a 2 inch body lift to my D1 and to be honest, a one inch lift wouldnt be any cheaper. All the bits and pieces cost the same and involve the same amount of work if you lift it one inch or two ;)

I had sent an email to a mob in the UK about the 30mm lift spacers and had asked them if i could get away with just using them . I got an email back saying i could get away with it with just a couple of small changes ie: move brake line brackets down and move the radiator brackets down as well . I was thinking of getting the gear shift extensions but then the shifts would be longer than what i need .
And i only need the 30mm to clear the guards from my measurements ( I think :D ) will think about it some more ;)
