Welcome to the 130 family. How are you getting it up here? I ask because I just paid to have my roof tent I just bought in melbourne freighted up.

When you do get it up, I would like to have a squiz at the canopy as I am in the middle of doing something similar with mine. I have the original hoops and canvas, the canvas has now gone and I need to get a new one done, similar to what you have fitted with the zip up sides, also that supports sticking out the top for a rack to mount the roof tent.

You will love it.

Hopefully will arrive within the next week, the canopy, is a special i belive, made from thicker tube, the holes at the top are for a rack, that slots in, the canvas was also a one off. As far as i know the original frame is not very strong, and will not support much, i too are having a roof tent. over the year...

whats your 130 like??

hey Juddy,
It's a 99, td5. The pioneer tool brackets I got from Land Rover spares in Gympie, second hand off a series 3, but they are far and few between. I think BMI do them new. Check the Remlr section I, VladTepes was looking for some for his 130.
The rear flares were fitted by the previous owner by M R Automotive.
When you get your rig up here we'll hook up for a ogle at each others rig, or tag along on one of the trips I do

Cheers

Welcome to the 130 clubers. We are getting bigger with numbers now. Have you put your fender wheels on your Stage 1?

I have only seen 1 130 over here. Lots and lots of 90s and some 110 DCs.

I miss my truck:dbcry::dbcry::dbcry:

MR are still trading.

RE - steering guard. Dont bother with Oppisite Lock. MR sell them ($395 I think) And so do Rova craft.

Mate, check with the other members in the GCLRO as to who is best to service them on the coast, M R is at Redcliffe, so a long way for you to go for a service. Saying that the tdi 300 is pretty simple so maybe a GOOD mech if you know one.

A few of us have had issues with the NORTHSIDE OL store not being bothered to get off his **** for anything LR. But if you can find a store who will their steering guard is 10mm alloy. My Bearmach is 7mm and I've bent it twice, probably could be tougher but it does straighten OK and has done it's job so far. You should be able to find a Hayman Reece for it Or the OL one has recovery eyes built into it, if you can find that store who cares. Try and hook up with us GCLRO guys and we can help you out.
