Help??
My Discovery TD5 has leaking air bag/s which has recently started dropping overnight. Compressor is good ,pumps up in 20 or so seconds. As many of you know it is not a lot of cost more, than replacing both air springs, to go full coils and upgraded shocks maybe with a 2" lift.
Should i replace the airsprings and stay with std SLS. Or toss them along with thier other intricate parts waiting to fail & go coils??
Anyone one who has been there can offer advise please!
Thanks Kerry

fill them with som tyre slime, they should be good for alot longer then, or atleast gives you time to look at your options. just get a spray bottle with some soapy water and spray them to find which one is leaking then remove it, add some tyre slime or similar product and reinflate them.

with my old d2 i had planned to go to rangie air springs as they are longer but i never got around to it, i actually have 2 brand new rangie air springs from the airbag man that i never used that i am trying to sell and would let go for cheap if your interested.

ohh i didnt answer your real question either sorry...

I would keep them, i loved my old SLS, very handy for load carrying and towing, also handy for that extra bit of clearance in offroad mode as the d2 has a bit of a fat bum.

If you decide to keep the SLS, you can get replacement air springs from the US much cheaper.

This is where I just got mine from:
https://www.arnottindustries.com/part_LAND_ROVER_Air_Suspension_Parts_yid4_pid48_gi d159.html

Cost me approx AU$320 for both delivered to my door.

Replacing them is about a 1/2 hr job and very easy to do. Full fitting instructions come with them.

I've had 3 sets of coils in 4yrs:mad: air bags are better if carrying loads all the time or towing or both like me:D

Keep your SLS.
I just tyre slimed my RH rear (thank CAL415), it has worked a treat, so far, touch wood! Only a temporary measure, but wish I discovered it earlier.
Have a set of rear airbags from Arnotts on order $(310 delivered), which should be here next week.

Keep the SLS and if you want to lift it there are 2" spacer blocks that can be fitted.
The tyre slime might buy time, but IMHO the chice is obvious, get the Arnott Ind ones from US they only take about 5 days to arrive. The great exchange rate makes these a very good price at the moment.

On the slime thing, keep an eye on the vent valve (in the compressor housing), I did pick up on a UK forum somewhere that the slime can cause this valve to stick a bit. But having said that, I have no direct knowledge of this occuring.
