Anyone had an oil leak from the turbo - leaves a drop of oil on the garage floor more often than not after a run. Dealer tells me it is normal but have spoken to a couple of other owners and they have not had the problem.
Mate of mine was shopping for a s/h 4x4 and asked about D3's after my glowing reports and was told - D3s suffer from oil leaks.

125000km and no leaks ever.
D3's don't leak unless there's something wrong.
Go to another dealer or read the riot act to your current one.

That's a new one to me too.
Sure, the odd D3 gets an oil leak but they're fixable, especially as it's still under warranty I assume.

Actually I did have one leak. It was a weep from the front diff. The diff assembly was replaced under warranty.:D

Mines never had a single drop of oil leak from it - 2.5 yrs old and 47K.
Sound like the dealer that spoke to your mate wanted to sell him a Toyota or something - was it a LR franchised dealer?

No it was not a LR franchise - a s/h 4x4 dealer on Gympie Rd. As I said to my mate how many D3s did he have on display - not a one - bet you he has never had one - say no more!

Only leaks I have heard of have been the fronf diff. Get A LR dealer to fix under warranty wherever it is leaking from.

2.5 years and 95k on the clock and only one weep (the same as Jamo's) and the Dealer has a replacement diff on order. :)
Try that at other marques.
