lowering the engine i busted the starter button  Just ordered a new one.

ordered new fan belt, rad hoses, some gaskets to fix the oil leak, and the remaining brake parts.

bought the wrong rad hose :( now have to order another. can't run the car for a while yet to clean out the radiator and block of crap :(

tomorrow i'll wire up all the rear lights i think. and tidy up the wiring in the dash.

I also have to fit the new lucas fuse box i bought as my one had the cover missing.

Still have to make up an accellerator cable fort he stromberg.

If you are using a cooling system flush, try RMI 25; it gets everything off including hard-water scale. It is not a bad idea to run the cooling sytem into an old drum with the top cut off, so that any scale etc. can be caught in the drum, rather than blocking the radiator. From memory RMI 25 has to be circulated in the system for 15 hours before changing the coolant, but it is worth doing. Some sort of seive on the outlet hose in the drum is a good idea, to stop the muck being sucked back into the block,

Cheers Charlie

got the accellerator connected :)

brake pedal doesn't self return, might be an issue there.. although it isn't connected to the rear brakes yet

I also took the 5 blade fan off ready to swap back the original fan off the original motor.

next weekend i hope to be able to drive it out the garage for a massive and much needed garage cleanout :wasntme:
