Hey all,
Scratching around under the front drivers' seat and it looks as though there's default wiring in place for a CD-stacker unit. Ours is a Dec '04 build S, so I'm wondering what sort of other wiring is in place that I can utilise to patch the odd bit of gear in. Thinking of even getting up on the roof and pulling the rubber bung out to see if there's already sat-nav coax running to the dash.
Ours has the optional DVD player fitted -- I've already pulled out the player and replaced with a dust-protected half-din unit -- so I'm not sure if the factory option requires fitment of all the audio wiring, not just the DVD player.
Hoping someone will say "Oh, they threw in *all* the wiring and just left all the plugs there".

It wouldn't surprise me if they have thrown in all the wiring, and just left the plugs there for other switches / accessories that are only installed on the upmarket or O/S models. You'll find wiring with unused plugs throughout the vehicle once you get in and look around.

Don't ask me what they're all for, but I suspect that if you buy a copy of the "Rave" disc available from this site and study the wiring diagrams, you'll find a few possibilities.

I know that when I had the bullbar fitted on mine and it came with fog lights (mine originally did not have fog lights), the wiring and plugs were already in place - all that was required was to install a switch and relay, and plug in the wiring that was there.

Open your bonnet and close to the bottom corners of your windscreen, you'll see unused plugs - not sure of their use, but I've been told they're for rain sensing wipers.

Keep getting a 404 error when I'm trying to register on the shop site ... gives me time to shiver in anticipation and duck down the street to buy a new battery for my multimeter while the webmaster investigates the problem :)

If you can't get onto the shop site, send a pm to Incisor - I'm sure he'll be happy to help you out.
