lo guys,

I have a 2001 Freelander 2.5 V6 which I am very happy with except for the fact my engine mounting bold (on left hand side horizontally into the frame of vehicle) has disappeared and my engine is now sat on the rubber mount, squashing it.

All that needs doing is to replace the bolt for now and mount at some stage. I have called a few places but they want to sell me the whole mount setup which isn't needed! My problem is I can't find specs for the bolt itself, can anybody help me out so I can get hold of one to sort it out.

Goint to head down to Rovacraft in morning to see if they can help too.

Any help much appreciated!!!

It's dark outside and I will be up early, see if I can get a look at it on Thursday for size. If nothing else I better check that this is nice and tight.
Can't have it falling out :)

Not sure how mine has gone but all I know is it has and there is a lot of weight on things that there shouldn't be!!! :o

I had a look at mine, your description and what I could see don't quite gell, so not sure which bolt you have lost.
On the bright side, nothing seems to have fallen off mine! :)

Thanks for looking mate,

Got it sorted yesterday. Local LR dealer wanted $400 to fix it, alleging that they needed to remove part of the engine to get to it. Did it myself for $2.20 by buying the replacement bolt, jacking the engine up and bolting it in!!! Rubber mount is ok for now, heading back to UK soon so will get one over there a lot cheaper.

Scary really, knew they charge a lot but not blatantly conning people!!

Thanks again for looking
