Please don't shoot me, but:
My old Holden commodore had a diagnosis connector in the drivers’ foot weld, when I inserted a paper clip into two of the connectors the engine warning light on the dash would flash a series of codes, I could then look up the codes in the Gregory's manual and tell what was playing up. This process also cleared the fault codes untill the car was started again so you could tell which codes were current.
Can I do the same thing in my 1998 Disco D1 V8?
I can see the Diagnosis Connector in the foot weld but I can not find any reference to it in the RAVE CD or in my Haynes manual.
