Seriously tho, one trip I've always had in mind is to head down to the high country and try fly fishing. I don't have a clue tho.

I love fishing... not that I've been for years. My better half, despite nagging him, still hasn't gotten round to taking me.
If anyone ever organises a "fishing weekend" let me know, as I'll be in it:D

Also love fresh water fishing . Nothing better than chasing a rainbow trout and having a good fight to get him. Just hope we get a lot more rain to fill the rivers back up a bit more .

I love saltwater fishing. Generally around Clifton Springs in Port Phillip Bay. I'm lucky in that swmbo also likes fishing. We go out in a little 15.75 foot fibreglass runabout. Flathead, garfish and whiting are our usual target.
Had a mad couple of seasons chasing snapper, they are good fun to catch however you need to put a lot of hours in and why bother when the whiting and flatties taste better. I also love catching and eating squid, the best part is dodging the ink as you drop them in the bucket.:D

Yep, Saltwater for me too. My brother has a tinny and we go out on the Port Hacking when we get the chance {I live on the Georges River...but wouldn't eat what i caught, so no bother)
freshwater seems like too much hard work. There's no way I could get the swing of the fly fishing technique - tricky. Went once with a friend when I was living in Albury - we walked bloody miles along this creek/river. I thought we were going out for a relaxing fish , oh no - we walked continuously, sneeking (trying to sneek) up on unsuspecting fish.
Respect to you fly fisher persons!!!

What a great section - well done to the folks who have organised the Fishing Shack:D
Probably obvious that I like the Barra fishing - but my heart races when the talk gets around to beach fishing.
However, living in Albury - well, trout fishing is the go for this Old Fella - used to walk the streams like the youngsters (Hiline) but the knees won't cop it now - so the next best thing is either trolling a lure on the many lakes/dams in the district or starting the electric motor and edge in amongst the trees and flick a lure.
We tried to organise a fishing trip up at Dartmouth a couple of months ago - two members came along - Decibalcore and Grover - a fantastic trip.;)
We've got another trip to Dartmouth some time in August - so if you want a crack at trout fishing on a major dam watch this space for more info.;)

Saltwater estuaries for us - anywhere remote and pristine - gotta watch the sandies and crocs - getting harder to find such places. Cheers, Erich.

I love fishing and i ofton get out into it, i do alot of fresh and saltwater fishing around coffs harbour and out west a little further.
My brother is even more keen than me going out to sea atleast once a week in his kayak.
I also have a kayak and do a bit of fishing in the rivers in it but mainly walk the rocks and beaches chasing bream, tailor, salmon, whiting, kingfish, tuna etc.
But my favourite fishing would have to be chasing wild river bass, i love finding remote places to chase bass in my kayak and along the banks, nothing better than some remote 4wding, camping and fishing in the landy, they just go together.
I look forward to sharing my day's fishing.
CHEERS TIM.
