Am I just having a bad run or has the tailor season been a bit slow this year.
I reckon theyre not as prolific this year as compared to the last couple of years. The last couple of outings were a bit quiet but yesterdays was a shocker, 4 hours trolling Lake Macquarie yesterday without so much as a hit. My fishing partner was blaming the bananas in the fruit and veg tray I won at the Wangi RSL (dodgy autopilot, honest !!!) but I reckon theres more to it.
Cheers,
Anthony.

Anthony, if you're trolling with lures and not getting any hits, try switching to a full size pilchard on ganged hooks, usually wakes them up, good luck, Regards Frank.

Why are you worrying about piddling little tailor in the lake - there are plenty of nice big southern bluefin tuna outside:)

Hi, your partner is right. The bananas will do it every time. Don't even take "Banana Boat" sunscreen in the boat. Cheers, Erich.

Yeah ok,
Guilty as charged on one count of Bananas on a fishing boat , But what's the tailor season been like in your area in comparison to previous years ?.

Anthony.

We went out on the Lake the other week, used Pilchards bits as bait, caught about twenty odd Tailor, all throw backs size wise, another mate was catching a few decent sized ones around Myuna bay.
