How do you do this?
When I select "Clip", "Audio", all the selections are greyed out.
Cheers.

Have you dragged the clip to the timeline, then selected it, before trying 'Clip / Audio' menu?

By timeline, do you mean story board? In the dump below I have the 2nd clip selected.

In your screenshot, if you click the "Storyboard v" just above the first clip, is there a "timeline" option? If so, try it, and select your clip and see if the audio options work.
I must add that I don't use Movie Maker, and the version I'm looking at is on WinXP.

if you mean audio for the video... you need to edit the volume of the video clip. in movie maker, the audio channel is on top of the video audio.
So with the audio channel you can add mp3 music or voice overlays.
So is it the video audio you want to mute or the audio channel for music & voice?

The video audio, to mute out "spur of the moment" comments.
