Fitted provent to the fender this morning.
About two hours start to finish.
Just missing some 25mm hose that should have been in the shed but wasnt?
Few notes:
I have removed the factory PCV for simplicity.
I modded the rocker cover using MIG glue and a short piece of 25 x 3mm Al tube welded over the existing PCV vent.
My aircon is an air compressor. For the last 6 months I have teed the air inlet into the factory "cleaned" blow by line. There has been sufficient oil mist to keep the comp happy. I haven't had any problems with this so decided to feed the compressor enroute to the provent. The right angle t-piece is two more lengths of 25x3 Al with the (disco) factory aircon inlet MIGed into it.
The oil drain is the existing one from the factory PCV. I encouraged it a little in the vice, to bend away from the block. Now a nice even drop from Provent to sump (one way valve in line)
The factory blowby return line is 19mm so I am still musing over whether to get a plastic joiner or just make one up out of Al tube.
Provent is bolted to a simple 4mm Al angle bracket that I have rivetted to the "inner guard to upper guard" support brace.
Obviously once hose is installed, to remove/clean air filter I may have to remove the rocker cover to air compressor hose, not too drastic.
All in all, seemed to be an easy, neat install... intercooler was cleaned 2000km ago so probably wont bother pulling it out again.
