3rd dash light

Got no manuals yet. oil press & alt lights obvious 3rdond on right.
has a water temp gauge fitted. light is on with engine running.

choke light?

If it is an orange light, it is the "cold start warning light". This is wired via a switch on the choke knob to a thermal switch on the front of the head (triangular, held in by three small studs). It is supposed to come on when the engine warms up if the choke is still out, but often has faults - apart from wiring faults, often the switch is incorrectly adjusted so pushing the choke in does not switch it off, and the thermal switch can go faulty on.

Thanks both. it has a stromberg carb & choke not working [starts runs good without it] but choke handel out. will push in & check light

Thanks the choke was "on" pushed it in light went of.
