Would anybody know why all the bolts that hold the crown wheel and pinion in place would sheer off and break ???

Problem is that the remains of the bolts are stuck in the crown wheel :mad:

Any ideas anyone ??? Do you think I'll need a new crown wheel ?? there's no damage to any components

if they sheared off while you were undoing them then possabley too much of the wrong grade of loctite was used....

If they've just come off and are floating in the bottom of the housing check the bearing carrier for impact damage...
