Hello All, as the title suggests, how many $ should I be parting with for a v8 out of an early disco that has done about 270000 klm? Also, with out the efi as I won't be wanting that.I've known the vehicle for some years and know the motor is in good nick for it's age. What's your thoughts?

cheers in advance

Cheers for that, so $250 shouldn't offend, then? Mates rate's an all.

$250 is good. It is definately going to be in need of a decent cam and lifters etc, and while you're there port match the manifolds . It makes a good engine out of a low comp 3.5.

I guess this is going in a stage 1? If so, a PC217 cam would be my choice due to your gearing:eek: Get the EFI exhaust manifolds and engine pipes off the D1 aswell, makes them breath well at revs. (Gearing again:eek:)

Why not using the hotwire fuel injection? It is quite a good system actually.

Hi JC, no it's a short term replacement for the clapped out 3.5 in the county.
I'm old an old fashioned. Spent a small fortune on having the carbs rebuilt last year. EFI would also necessitate having the computer wired in. No plug ins in the county! It's winter and I'm a contract gardener, so funds are a little limited this time of year.
Thanks for your advice though.
cheers
