Any comments on this claimed D2 spiking fault? See link. I want to wire up some spotties tomorrow, got me thinking now. Any D2 owners, please advise.
Thanks.

I'm calling BS. i have spotties on mine which are run just like on any other car. i've had no problems and i use them at least a couple of hours a week.
apparently there is something with the D2's where you can improve the lights so that the current isnt running thru the switch or something like that. i dont know if perhaps this is related to 'spiking' though. i bought my car as is, so i dont know if the headlight wiring has been upupgraded or not.

Im backing BS unless you cock up the install and tap a wire that you shouldnt...
the standard earth switched relay drawing its control power from the highbeam feed near the lights is the go... take the power for the spotties from a fused link attached to the battery or the main power outlet terminal of the alternator.
