Hi all
I have a message in my Inbox that I cant open - it just doesn't open and then the computer freezes as if it is busy. I have tried to delete it but the same thing happens, I have also tried to drag it to another folder, but same thing. Can someone help me to get rid of it please ???

Do you know the sender? If not then can you run a virus scan on the Outlook Express file - run it for the whole C drive would be best.

Sounds like the indexes for the inbox file are corrupt. Which version of Outlook Express is it?

In cases like this it's often best to go directly to the mailserver, bypassing OE entirely.
Shut down OE, and use your ISP's web browser interface to get to the message and open it that way.
If OE has already downloaded the message that won't work. In that case you'll need to try and export the message to another file format and read it there, or open it in another installation of OE on another computer.
