I'm running the 4.4 with a tiny little power steering pump. its developed a tap which only aprears when turning the wheel. i am running 33x12.5x15 tyres. can i get a larger power steering pump or just replace it and be happy with the standard pump????
thanks in advance

Standard rangie pump should do fine. The power comes from the box its self. Is the tap in the pump? May be end float if so.
I have always run stock pump on my 2 Door and has 33" Tractor tyres on it with off set and has no dramas. Tony

Hey Tony,
yeah the tap is clearly coming from the pump. it gets louder as i turn the wheel, i started a post last week with this same funny knock, im over the moon that its the pump and not the engine.
it has got worse over the past week so its reared its ugly head.
i have a spare so will chuck it in over the next day or so.
cheers
