Hi all, this fuse is from under the drivers seat - anyone know if it has a part number or name (and I don't mean 'Bob'!), I need to replace it and was wondering if I can pick it up (or have it ordered) from any 'ol auto shop or if its a trip to 'Land Rover Cairns' for me...

Just go to your favourite auto shop and ask for an L Type Fusible Link

Thanks, this is useful to know; my local REPCO and Supercheap Auto don't stock them... so I was just having to cast my net further afield!

If you still can't find them then go to a proper auto electrical supplies shop or an auto electrician. They will have them.

If still no luck just order a couple of each type from somewhere and have them posted to you.

What is it for anyway. I've never actually had one of those links blow on any car I've owned. Always seen them though and thought I should carry spares just in case.

I've got to go down to Cairns on Friday, so as you suggested, I'm sure one of the auto electrical shops will stock them. If not, I'll order them over the internet.

Its my own fault that it blew; I touched the the back of the light switch to the ignition whilst replacing it. Sloppy of me... one step forward two steps back!

See this thread for account of what I was up to;
