Will soon be leaving Cairns and heading across the top of Australia.
Hopefully will manage to visit Arneheimland and Gibbs River before heading back to Darwin to fly out to Singapore for a week.
Could do with some advice about secure parking at Darwin.
If you see a red 110 with Pommie plates on give me a wave or better still pull up, have a cold beer and a chat
Regards

It is probably a bit late to get a permit for Arnhemland, Cobourg is booked out a year in advance, and they stop issueing permits around November to May. You can go from Burketown to Roper Bar then up to the Highway that covers more of the Gulf Country, could get a permit to visit Nhulunbuy but as there is bo accomodation there, some one has to invite you first and it takes a couple of weeks for the permit.
To visit areas out of Oenpelli and across the top a permit can take a long time and you need good reasons why...tourism is not one of them. The NLC is not the easiest organisation to deal with for something different as they need to contact all the groups that you pass through and all have to agree.
