I saw a 1984 6X6 Range rover for sale the other day. It was stated that it is 1 of 14 built buy Range Rover for the Sultan of Brunie for expeditions.
Has anyone heard of these before or has any more information on them? Or is it just some sort of clever advertisement?

If it is the silver one in Vic for sale, I was going to have a look at it. Did a lot of searching to try and determine what it was and who it was built for. Could only find one other like it in the world. That owner was also looking for information about who made it. If it had been made by one of the main conversion people at the time it would have been clearly labelled as to who did the conversion. Also did a bit of research on Rangies built for the Sultan. Could not find any reference to a vehicle like that belonging to his fleet. It also did not appear to have the level of fit-out that you would expect in one of his vehicles.

So come the end of the day I could not determine who did the conversion or who the previous owner might of been. I therefore did not bother making the trip to check it out.
