Hi All
Having owned a 2000 model TD5 a few years ago, i am now thinking of buying another Discovery 2, preferably a 2003/2004 update TD5 auto... any things i should be watching out for? problems ? issues?
My other option was to look for a V8 and convert it to gas... anyone done this? issues? costs ?
Appreciate any help or advice

at this stage, an immaculate service history, pay attention to the condition of the coolant and the level and see what happens to it from cold to warmed up..
If when you get to drive it its been pre warmed up Id be wary...
then its the usual stuff you check on any full time four wheel drive with an auto box.

The difference between petrol and diesel was around 20c/ltr but now more like 10-15 cents so if touring is your thing, diesel is still the way to go.
If its mostly urban driving with short trips a cheap V8 with gas conversion may suit you but you will lose luggage space unless you pay the extra 1k for underfloor tanks.

What should the coolant be doing?
