I saw a GU Patrol tray back with portal diffs and all sorts of mods that were very carefully and tastfully done. It looked like it was a factory job and Oh My Goodness I really really want it

They will go under a Landy.:D Just the rear prop shaft:(. I suspect we'll see a few done this way other than with Unimog 404s.

Have a Bex powder, a nice cup of tea, and a good lie down until the symptoms pass.

If you search The Shed on 4WD Action, there's a Disco 1 with Maxi Drop Portals on 33s on there, go to Land Rovers then have a squiz

Portals would go real well here in these rocks but the cost and offset on steering put me off a bit.
Have a look here Gearmaster portal axle (http://www.marks4wd.com/products/gearmaster/Gearmaster-portal-axle-index.html) Sorry no Rover:( And no Maxi:(
Nisota is the only way to do it for now.
