after reading the randomness (is that a word ;)) of GVM's on 130's on the diesel gas thread, could some one tell me what GVM they have on their td5 90....?

I am just interested as mine seems high......

cheers
Pete.

Thanks for the Baz, but it doesn't cover GVM.

The reason I want to ask, is that I have a GVM of 3050kg. std D90 ht weighs say 1800kg, giving me a payload of 1250kg.....

That cannot be right.

my car now weighs 2050kg, with everything, and a tank of fuel, so that still gives me a payload of 1000kg...

must admit that has been useful recentley moving a lot of concrete!!

Yep that sounds about right, seeing as your suspension and axles have the same rating as a 110 and the same tow capacity as the 110, just 2 seats less.

All up the GVM is the same because your approx 200 kilos lighter giving you a higher load capacity of approx 200 kilos.

EDIT; also the tow capacity is a factor, the more you carry the less you can tow, your GVM INCLUDES THE TOW CAPACITY, towing 3500kgs is only allowed if you don't have any load in the cargo area and will only allow one passenger apart from the driver.

Well there ya go, that 200 odd kilos LESS does lower the GVM, still heaps more load capacity than a D2 has, with around the same GVM:(

Mine too: the VIN says 2710 Kg, so maybe the 90s aren't as random (?) as the 130s. Interestingly, the VIN plate does not state how many seats my 90 is.

Yep,

Mine says 2 seats (but then it is a Hard top) and a GVM of 3050kg

Maybe mine got 3050 as they werent sure of the figure when it was imported....?
