Recently I too was trying to get through to vodaphone, lets just say I'm not as patient as dobbo.I hung up after 30 mins the first time, 40 mins the 2nd time, 30mins again the 3rd time, then tried to resolve it on the internet on there website, no luck. After about 4 days I was going past one of there shops, So in I went and handballed it to them, I was remarkably calm considering the frustation, but it wasn't the girl in the shops fault so didn't give her a hard time. I think vodaphone and I will be parting company shortly, but alas I suspect the other main mobile phone companys are probably just as bad and don't give a toss about customer service.

Personally I have found Telstra pretty good, and the NextG phones to be outstanding.
You pay for it though.

Not patience, I just put it on loud speaker and cooking dinner, eating dinner playing Gomez and watching Scrapheap challenge

Hello? How may we disconnect you?
This is utter rubbish! I would not stand for that. Onetel 40 minutes was my record and I gave them both barrels when they answered.
YOU Are the customer! Your call is about important as ergonomics in a defender.
Hope you gave them a serve.

the phone ombusman is your friend, lodge a complaint. If dont get satafaction when dealing with imbasole companies in 30 minutes I go straight to the complaint proceedure. I have most problems sorted out fairly quick these days. When the poor people at telstra open my files on the phone services we have with them they must nearly faint, I am like a terrier dog.
You also need to speak firstly to the shift manager and then very quickly esculate the complaint up the ladder from there, dont good starting with the poor buggers at the bottom.
cheers

I am with '3' and am a VERY happy customer. My phone is a piece of crap (Nokia N73) but that is Nokia's fault not 3's, and they have always been helpful when I have had issues with the handset.
I was initially worried about lack of coverage (ex-Telstra customer) but whenever I don't have coverage on the 3 network, it reverts to Telstra anyway!
Would (and do) recommend them to anyone. :D

the extended warranty people for our broken downwashing machine were excellent.I rang them 4 times in 4 days, after you get all the usuallystuff,we are experiencing an unusually high number of calls, etc, etc, etc, after a timed period of around 25 minutes, they eventually say please ring back,& hang you up.
well ,when i eventually got through to them they got an earfull, what a good way to run a business.
then the guy eventually comes to look at the machine,& its the usual, got to order the part, should have it in a week or so
on the telstra g3 network,18 months ago everyone was complaining about it.Good to see it has improved
