Hi all Vic members ( and NSW too )
You may be aware that some of us are involved in restoration and maintenance of High Country Huts.
We do have our own section on this site ( High Country Huts - Australian Land Rover Owners (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/high-country-huts/)) however as many of you may not look down that far I thought I would post this reminder in the general area.;):D
As we enter Spring, our hut works start to ramp up again. Being entirely a volunteer group we never have enough building materials and willing helpers.
1. Do you know of any second hand building materials that could be donated ? Second hand or new roofing iron, guttering, capping etc, weatherboards, and hardwood timbers or posts in reasonable condition are always needed. We will be happy to collect these items and move them to our storage location near Mansfield.
2. If you want to get involved in the Hut works, you would be most welcome. You don't need any particular skills and it is a good chance to mix with a bunch of good people and maybe learn a few skills. Generally we will camp out at the Hut being worked on over a weekend.
