I am planning on picking up a tub this Saturday, but am unsure how I am going to transport.
What are the dimensions of a tub? I was planning on taking a box trailer, but I am almost certain it won't fit. Would it be alright if I tied it on top of the trailer upside-down?
I might have to hire a bigger trailer, or see if I can coax the mother over the mountains with the Patrol. :(

A box trailer should do.
I brought a 130 tub home tied on the top of a 6x4 trailer no worries and they are a bit bigger than a '88 tub. Just sat it on top and strapped it down.

That is comforting... How did you strap it down? just over the top and nice and tight?
Cheers. :D

Yep 2 ratchet straps. Didn't have to go far though.
If you have to go a bit of a distance, do 2 side to side, front and rear, and then one or two front to back. If you are worried about width, take a couple of planks with you to sit on top of the trailer and put the tub on them. Should help protect them as well.

I am going from Cessnock to Sydney... :(
I was planning on taking a bit of wood, I guess I will just have to take it gently and tie it on real good!

Can be done - no issues - here is me towing a 6x4 trailer with a 88 tub and canopy onboard

Thanks Garry.
Just needed some reassurance that it wasn't going to end up not fitting... :o
Cheers mate. :D
