Can anyone explain the order of removal of dash parts to be able to remove the very top padded dash board(the one with ashtray in it) on a 95 defender. Do i have to remove the whole lot.

Also on this new purchase of mine there is a PSI guage where the clock would normally go and it (tube) was disconnected at the guage end, the other end goes to the engine block below rocker cover on the turbo side. theres also an extra rocker switch below it and i presume it is for this.

Any help appreciated!!

It's pretty easy to remove the top of the dash,
you need to remove the grab handle on the passenger side,
the heater control cover on the drivers side,
undo the dash containing the dials in front of the steering wheel,
undo the three screws across the top of the dash and the two under the front of the dash top,
then pull the dash top up and forward to remove.

cheers
Adrian
