View Full Version : How many inches have you got?
Shonky
12th September 2008, 10:35 AM
...combined total of wheelbases I'm talking! What were you thinking?
Inspired by a post by Diana in the 101/FC section, I thought I would find out the length of everyones... landrovers.
For example, If you were disgustingly lucky enough to own a Defender 130, an 88" Series II and two 107" Series I... as a purely hypothetical example...
Your total inches would be 130+88+107+107= 432.
I am not so fortunate. I only own a solitary 88" Series II so my total is:
88. :(
It doesn't matter. It's how you use it that counts, right?;)

Hey Mate,
You forgot the stage 1, and I think one of the utes is a 109.
So that's 107+109+88+109+130=543:p
So now cost that out a $100 per inch and that's what it Really costs:(
Sometimes less is more:D:D:D

Defender (hers! ;) ) + Disco + SII SWB = Too much work :wasntme:
So:
110 + 100? + 88 = 298? :D but only part of that figure gets used

12th September 2008, 11:12 AM
Well, that is easy - 2a plus County .... 109+110 = 219.....
........but how about the derelict 2a I robbed the brake shoes and overdrive out of, another 109, and the derelict, doorless 2a, that's another 88, and the Series 3 that I sold Tank the engine out of, that's another 109, and the chassis and firwall sitting out in the paddock, that's another 88, and then there is the one that got converted to a farm trailer ............

One for every day of the week + when you have 4 people in the family, and 9 of them have only 3 seats, it means you have to take 2.
I even managed to drive 4 of them today, could have been 5, but I gat lazy.
I am actually lucky that of the 11, I CAN drive 8 of them. 2 of the non driveable ones are to be dismantled, the other is halfway to coming back.

Hi All
Lets see
Two disco's and a rangie = 300
Two eighty six's = 172
One series two 88 and two 109's = 306
From memory I have in 2a two wagons, three traybacks, two hardtops and two ute cabs = 981
Series three 3 x 88 and at the moment i think 3 109's = 591
a 120 and a puma rounds it out at 230
So the total is 2580 at a rough estimate
