Gday

My old man has a 109 troop carrier diesel it goes as of 2 years ago. the only problem being the chassis is a bit rotten and the steering box is buggered.

so much so that when the steering wheel is turned nothing happens :(

Think its a 1978 but not 100% certain

Im just interested to know does anyone have a spare they would like to part with or could you tell me how much he should expect to pay for one?

Thanks for your help

I've got one, but a) I'm a bit far away, and b) you should be able to find one closer, c) I am hanging on to it in case I need it myself.

The steering box is the same from 1967 on, so there are a lot of them about. They rarely give any trouble unless they are allowed to run dry (the first thing I would do is make sure the problem IS the box), so anyone wrecking a Series 2a post 67 or a Series 3 is likely to have one spare. I have no idea what they are worth, but I would guess something in the order of $100.

Let me know if you can't find one. A bit like John I have a spare you could use .But I would like to replace it with another one. So a deposit would be OK till you find me a replacement thats not stuffed. I'm wrecking a 78 S111 soon so will have another spare for now.
Tony.
