Which (all ?) TD5 Defenders use the 1330 series uni's in the front shaft ? (92mm cross vs 74.6mm cross)
Anyone happen to have a length ?
cheers.

My 90 has the 92mm 1330 joint in the transfer case end of the front prop
Length on the car is roughly 625mm

Are they really 1330's? Thats a massive massive uni for Rover. The only big unis I knew of them using was the DC in the front of the Stage 1's. Apart from that I thought they were all 1300's or something.

believe it!
compressed length 530mm and max extended of 600mm. add 40mm per end to get the flange to flange length.
that shaft is also phased.

at LEAST from 2002, as I have one here that I replaced with a DC shaft after a lift.
I think prior to this age they still had early spec front shafts, but can't be 100% on this. Could be late 2001 or so? I have a 99 in at the moment will take a look tomorrow to satisfy my curiosity:)

Mines an 01 and has it. I also have a spare set of shafts off another 01 td5 here and they have it too.
Edited to add, interestingly the only one I have had to replace due to failure is the larger one.
