Hi all,

I'm in the market for a dual cab 130 (preferably, would settle for a 110 wagon) for around 15 - 20k, in or not too far from Brisbane.

There's a 130 towards the bottom of the British Off Road sales page that seems to fit the bill + low kms for its age. It's been there a while now, does anyone know its story?

Cheers - vic.

Don't know about that one, but I saw an add in the LROCB newsletter for a 96 300Tdi 130 Twin Cab 305,000km for $10,000.

PM me if you want details.

Regards
Scott

Hi there

You wont find many cheap 130's - as they seem to hold there value and sort after vehciles (especially for touring).

I dont believe you will find one under the 10k mark.

Thanks for the info, might give this one a miss then.

For 15 - 20k I'm really hoping I can find something pre-loved and not pre-thrashed. :bangin: It'll be our daily driver too (though most days we don't drive) so a good history is important.

So a 110 wagon might be the go, we don't have a real need for a 130 except that a tray comes in handy every now and then.

Have seen the vehicle it is not that bad but it has no Air con. Panels are no worse than you would see on many other defender in this price range.

I spent 9 months looking for the elusive 15k 130 and eventually found her, worked hard and so far have spent $1500 on it. Runs very well though just a bit neglected over the last few years. I think its about as good as you will get for 14-18k value. The doors are well worked and need to be replaced at some stage as well as few other bits and pieces.
They are very hard to come by especially here in Perth. good luck and spend the extra few K for a good one.

Well there's no big rush but don't know if I can hold out 9 months. :o Seems to be pretty slim pickings in this price bracket though.

I've posted a wanted ad in the markets, so hopefully get some nibbles. It would be great to get one from a certified enthusiast so we know it's been given the TLC it deserves. ;)

I paid 18k for my 130 1996, and its a minter 250,00k fully service history, still had it checked after i purchased it and its 110%, looks like a 3 year old car..
