Will, I have been told to avoid GL5 gear oils for the Series gearboxes and T/C as they can damage any copper based metals, Brass, Bronze, et al, bushes, shims, spacers etc.. You should use GL4 gear oils as they are copper safe, gear oils will have marked on the bottle whether they are GL4 or 5, Regards Frank.
