Not in Derby. I asked around when I was up there last year delivering our Disco to our daughter who was a nurse at the hospital. There is one bloke who is not averse to Land Rovers. I wish I could think of his name. The ex-LR service agent next door to the Shell servo wouldn't even consider it (I asked). He gave me short shrift!

There are some in Broome but the forum search feature doesn't seem to be working so I can't look for the threads.

When you get near Karratha, there is :
Karratha Land Rover (http://www.startlocal.com.au/auto/fourwdaccessories/wa_northwest/Karratha_Land_Rover_911372.html)

Lot 1103 Lambden Road, Karratha, WA, 6714
Phone number: (08) 91441185

I was under the impression that Karratha LR didn't exist anymore.

And as someone who has just returned from a trip through that neck of the woods - good luck finding anyone who will look at your Rover - even in Darwin where there is a dealer, the mullet couldn't be bothered to find the time over an entire week. :(

Try Minshull Mechanical in Guy St Broome (Owner's name is Warren-nicknamed "Woggy")

Pretty down to earth bunch & few Beers left in the workshop fridge will break the ice with the guys out back, like most places in the Kimberley "Time doesn't mean much" work will be finished when it's finished...

Good Luck

Karratha / Port Hedland have been monopolised by "The Pilbara Motor Group" 4 - 6 week wait for a "Toyoissan or Jacajero" Minor Service.

In Darwin - Darwin Mitsu-sushi uhmm - "Says it all Really" we bought our new Defender there 'Mullet' understates their attitude....and service delivery

Cheers

The man speaks the truth! (although i saw a disco in there the other day, half hidden by tojos!)

The bloke at N&L mechanical in Hedland is a former JRA mechanic and has been good with my series 3, but book in advance as it can take 2 - 3 weeks to get a space on the books.

You're right. They are no longer in the LR dealers list.

Only 1,100 km away in Kununurra (if you're heading on that way) the Caterpillar dealer used to do the Land Rover stuff and carry most consumables. This was over 12 years ago when all his business was Army Isuzu powered 110s. The Toyota dealer was also prepared to service anything and order parts for anything. Or it's only an extra 800km from there to Darwin. I hope you can find someone in Broome though.

That's sad. I believe one of our forum members works for them... or maybe it was the one in The Alice.

Quote "I was under the impression that Karratha LR didn't exist anymore".

"You're right. They are no longer in the LR dealers list". End quote.

This is why I've gone to the darkside! No dealers and no back up if things go pear shaped.
We've still got the Defender for a while, but it won't be used for any long trips away from Perth.
Alan.
