Disco 3 Tailgate Problem

Gday all.
I have a 2005 Disco 3 and love it.
However yesterday when I tried to open the rear tailgate window it wont open. The electrics sound to be functioning - I can hear the solinoid however it just wont budge!

Before I take it to the dealer I am curious to know if there are any quick fix's which could save me $$$

Hi Micon,
Unfortunately u will need a new tailgate latch as the old has died by the sounds of it. Has someone been playing with the button? These will stop functioning after consecutive pushes as the bi-metallic strip inside overheats & disconnects. Thus saving the lock from burning out.;)

If not then u a latch & will probably need a new tailgate trim panel also as to gain access to the old latch we need to make a large hole in the trim.:o
