my wife kindly gave me the free tickets she won on Nova last week, to the enmore theatre last night to see the Lining End, Children Collide and some other dudes.
it was really great to see "good" live rock bands again, the other two support bands could've done without a few of their songs. they were a little wanky and self indulgent.
But! (here we go, grumpy old man time) what's wrong with the youth of today. apart from the morons in the mosh pit, running around in a group packed like sardines, bashing into each other at full noise, crowd surfing, throwing plastic water bottles around.
they put a big steel barrier about half way up the room to stop crowd surge, but the dicks were jumping over tha and falling on everyone in front of it, mainly us old farts.
the other thing is, if you're going to pay money to see a band, why would you spend most of the time sending text messages to your mates and taking photos with your phone and sending them to the person's phone next to you?

Say no more. They went for their reasons. You yours. I doubt they were judging you standing up the back but even if they were to not expect that sort of behaviour seems odd to me.

P.s. now time to wait for someone to bang on about how they were all probably popping pills.:wasntme: lol

They are playing at the Deni Ute muster next week.
Can't wait, haven't seen them for a few years.
Good to see you enjoyed them Barney.
Cheers
Dave.

I saw them last Friday, they were bloody awesome as always. The crowd was pretty good, no barrier for us to deal with and only a few guys tried crowd-surfing.
How cool is the e-boogie solo Chris does! For those who missed it the band plays a solo song for a few minutes which culminates with Chris playing the guitar using a beer bottle as a slide then skulls the remained of the beer. Usually gets a big cheer from the crowd.
Did they tell any stories about previous gigs? At our show he reckoned Darwin and Perth didn't know any of the words.

You old fart Matt:p
Yeah i remember when i went too concerts and dances, with ACDC, Heaven, Chain, LRB, Masters Apprentices, Billy Thorpe, Benny & the Jets (local Newcaslte band)playing, we'd stand there in one spot rocking our heads back and forth (wasn't cool too dance then) aahhh those were the days, cruising Hunter St in ya FJ with double over head grease nipples saying classics like, howya goin, wanna do it to the sheilas on the footpath:eek::eek::D
Livng End are a great band, i'd like too see them live.
