Gday

I was flicking through my owners manual the other day. It mentions a handle throttle (optional extra). I would find this quite useful when pumping up tires after the beach.

Because one day by accident I found that the compressor works faster when you rev the engine a bit. Was obvious really just didnt think of it ;)

Anyone know anything about these or where I could source one?

Thanks

To the Right of the steering column, where the rubber bung is (at least on the 300Tdi), there is a bracket for a choke cable (V8 option or something from an overseas model). Remove the bung, fit a choke cable and run it to the throttle linkage on the fuel pump. Now you have a $20 hand throttle. Which reminds me, I'd better get one too.

I think TD5s would have a ECU managed item, but really I don't have a clue about the TD5.

you need to check your accelerator pedal, if it has the little tang hanging off with a hole in it to take a cable fitting your set up for it and its nothing more than a glorified choke cable from a series rover.

I might still have one spare in my box o bits.
