View Full Version : What "print to" PDF programs do people use?

I'm not after the standard version of Adobe.
Something can create a pdf, and preferably edit.
A free program would be even better.
I had a version of Adobe Professional, but it won't work with Vista.
I have tried winpdf but it seems fairly limited and keeps freezing/crashing.
So...what programs are out there?
What do people use?
What decent ones are free?
What is the cost for others?
Thanks in advance

I've been using Foxit, I think Inc. mentioned it.
Nice and small compared to a full install of Acrobat, maybe not a problem if you're running Vista.:D

I create documents in word, or excel, or scan ... and then use cutepdf (http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp)as the document printer. It creates a file in pdf format which then can be sent by email etc.

PDFCreator. Sets as a printer on your system. When you have anything at all you want to print be it word doc, excel, jpg etc etc, go to your print command and select PDFCreator as your printer. Automatically saves it to a file location, then you do what you want with it!

"CC pdf creator" is a great freeware pdf print diver. For editing I user Acrobat Pro.

Assuming you are using Windows, and Office. Doesn't Office come with its own pdf creator?
There is also ps2pdf, which will take pretty much any prn file generated for a postscript or postscript compatible printer.
