Isn't it great http://www.aulro.com/afvb/rss-news-feeds/64948-land-rover-debuts-freelander-stop-start-system.html Land Rover has introduced a new system for the Freelander.

Up to now in the Discovery, Range Rover and Defender it has only been a stop system, water in the electrics, oil pump problems, drive shaft problems, limp home modes.

Now the Freelander has a stop and a start system, great. I wonder if it will turn out to be another Stop-Start stop system???

Now all they've got to do is introduce a system whereby we can get our Landies started after they've stopped outside the metro areas!
I won't hold my breath while waiting.

I found it intersting that the technology included a remapped ECU, low resistance tyres, reporgrammed gear shifts etc.

And it's all going onto the standard freelander, no paying extra for an E model or anything like that!
