Just about finished sorting out the last of the problems with the wifes disco, however the front drivers seat is cactus and needs replacing. Has anyone replaced these with aftermarket ones and what are they like, costs ect. ect.
Cheers

Why would you want to get rid of the "King" seat's .... I would hunt down some second hand ones from a later model
Electric adjustments .. Heated b**m warmers .... Lovely
Check out the market place for whats available

I hear ya, maybe aircon'd seats!
I've checked out a few after market versions available but am a bit iffy as I'm 6'2 and need a tall backrest. The standard seats are boarderline ok for height.
Might look at costs of getting it rebuilt/reapulstered
:twobeers:
Hay Lewy, I don't have my list on me, but did you get your LR plaque? I cant remember wether I mailed yours to you or were you going to come round and pick it up? I have one here that hasn't been picked up yet.

If you measured up some ford seats .... they may fit .... as they have the same rail setup bolt points
Ford Fairlane for comfort

Datsun 200B used to go straight in to a Cruiser 47 series ute! Have a look around at the wreckers. What sort of stock do Atlas have now they've shifted yards? Palmerston would probably have something I would say.

I bought a pair of Recaro seats from ebay about a year ago for about 1K. They are about $1400 each new.
They are the best mod I have ever done to my RRC.
After every long trip SWMBO says just that.
Mine are the big ones (LS?)with movable front cushion.
I was able to buy the seat belt mountings from Recaro/Ideal Seat
They are ACE.

Cheers Allan.
I haven't got any now so give me a few days.
You only need 8 right angles to attach them to the original mounts, if you have the recaro rails. I used some 2mm or so angles. I also added some steel strap to the original rear seat bases just to be sure of strength.
Recaro sell adaptors for seat belts so you need 2 for each seat as Range Rovers are very unusual in having both the belt and buckle on the seat.
I got the seat belt mount bolts from a seat belt/baby seat place.
