Hi all,

I need some advise/help please...:)

I have a Nokia 6233 Mobile, I also have a HP laptop which has a bluetooth dongle in the back so i can download photos to my PC when needed.

I wish to download the photos to the AULRO site (SVX Def) for all to see.;)

BUT..

The problem is i dont know what type of file they are & AULRO wont let me download them saying " The file you uploaded was not an acceptable format.: SVX1 "

I would presume they are not jpg, jpeg, png, gif files as requested.

How do i tell what they are & if so how do i change them to jpeg or whats needed..I have tried left clicking, properties etc to no avail.

Thanks in advance.;)

We have a recent nokia and it makes .jpg files.

Are you looking in the right directory? Search the drive for those extensions.

I have not used mine with Blue tooth and the aptop as it is a pain in the Ar*e, find more works with the cable .Hence I use the cable (USB one) and when the phone ask say which you want to use, storage device , Pc suite or Media Player. I say storage device and then it uses the phone like a USB thrumb drive and you just go to the image file and copty or move the Jpg picture i want

Thanks guys for the response.....

After a little more playing around i have realised that the images on my phone are "jpg" files but still dont know why they have changed to another format.

I have tried left clicking the photo to see what file
it is & all it says is "file".

When transferring them to my laptop it asks when i want to open the
photo (double click) "choose the program u want to open this file:"

I have chosen "windows picture & fax viewer" !? Right or Wrong i am
not sure.
Captain-Rightfoot is this what u mean when asking about correct directory, have i asked to open the photos in the wrong format so to speak?

Cheers

I use a BT dongle with the provided software and i just open the folder containing the photo's and copy and paste into the folder of my choice on the PC, this works for both the Nokia and Sony Ericcson phones we have.

I'm sorry mate I don't use a PC so it's hard to know what kind of pain they can dream up for you.

On the apple you just turn blue tooth on for the phone, and then the computer. The computer will then look for the device, and ask you to pair with it (exchange a code for security). It then attaches and you can browse the file system. When you find your photos you just ask it to get them and choose the directory.

I have attached some screen shots. I hope that helps.

Figured it out, Found that if i dont change the description of photo image when transferring (it keeps it jpg icon) it all works properly.
Something so simple...
Thanks for all the advise guys.
