And Defender drivers think that they're so exclusive with the Series and Defender wave! Bah I say!
Thank you to whoever it was in the Silver D3 on the eastern skirt of Bathurst today (about 3pm) who waved to my Blue D2 with roofrack! Brought me a smile for the rest of the trip home. :D

Is this any special wave, or is it just a wave?

On Friday i was travelling south on Melba Highway towards Yarra Glen (I wasn't far from Marginal) and i noticed a silver/gold coloured D1 coming towards me north bound.
Anyway, i was looking at the D1 trying to work out what tyres he had on and at the last moment the driver flicked me a wave, too late we had passed each other before I could respond. Damn it, usually i wave and the one time I didn't someone waved to me.:(:(:(
What it has done though is restored my committment to waving ...... thanks whoever it was ....:D:D:D:D

P.S. i was in the dark green D1 .....

This is not "any" special wave, nor is it "just" a wave.... it's much much more than that, its a Disco wave! :D

that's right we do it with an air of arrogance knowing that we are driving a real 4wd not an inferior copy lol :D

I wouldn't have thought a Disco owner would denigrate their own car like that. The Disco may be a copy of the Range Rover but it's still a real four wheel drive! :wasntme:
Diana :D :D :D
P.S. Yes I do wave at Discos and RR sports etc but rarely get one returned. Series, Defender and other RRc are about the only ones I seem to get the wave returned, and only out of the city.

I have been getting a very low wave rating whilst driving the D2 for the last few days
I need to get my real Land Rover back, I still love driving it but the D2 is just to refined for me nowadays

Back in early September crossing the Hay Plains in my D2 I got a big wave and a very big grin from a lady drivng a D3, then another from the lady in a 2nd D3, then waves from lady drivers a whole assortment of LRs including an RRC, although I don't recall a D2 in the procession.

I had a wave back and forth with a County, double snorkels coming down the highway from Brissie the other day and there is an older bloke who drives a modded disco that we always exchange waves. Wave at a few fenders but they just look dumbfounded....though that could just be fender drivers in general :p:D.

Driving from Rawson to Warragul almost daily, I see numerous Landrovers along the way.
I wave to all but get nothing in reply.
Ahh well....

i mainly keep my waves to the more modded landrovers as they all seem to wave back, alot of discos around this way are driven by mums taken the kids to school so when you wave at them they are sort of blind to other land rovers its just another car to them..

I wave or flash my lights to ANYTHING with a LR badge on it.
But so far have had nothing back....:(
So if you see dark red D2 in and around the northern suburbs of Perth flashing or waving, give us a heads up, eh?! :D
