Does the Nuvi's cable disappear down the very rear of the dash then plug in to the accessory socket?

Those seats do look nice :) but given the price I heard they go for in the UK  Standard Defender ones will do nicely.

Hi Derek,
No we removed the centre console & ran the cable kind of the way LR wanted us but changed it a little as it was supposed to run across the front of the console, didnt like the look of it so changed it. We had to remove the top centre screw of the console basically against the W/Screen & apply a small amount of pressure to lift it to get the plug out, we then made a small hole for the cable to come through & that is it.

So it's still the original cable then with the accessory plug one end and the Garmin plug in to the Nuvi the other... weird:confused:

Was the dashboard mount a stick on disk to which the suction cup attaches?

Can't say I like the rear lights on the black panels. I think they would look very good on a Silver Defender though:D

I like it but could not justify the extra cost over a standard one.
Love the seats.
Hate the tacky gps and sunroof. Bothe these items should have been better quality in my opinion. How come they could not put an integrated gps like in the D3?

Still a nice package.

Not my cup of tea. Front end is butt ugly and way too much electrickery. May as well buy a disco if your going to get that.

The Sat Nav set up is a temporary fitment at this stage. LR have UK supplier problems at the moment so they have gone with the Garmin mounting kit.
The correct kit will be fitted by the selling dealer when it arrives.

Thanks Pete for all the photos. As others have said ‘It may not be everyone’s cup of tea’ but I’m tickled pink and proud as punch. I cant wait to get my hand on mine. :):):):):)

Lots of positive comments about the Recaro seats, however I'm looking forward to hearing what owners think after six or twelve months. In my experience this type of seat is ideal for a race or rally car where driver needs to be held securely in position - hence the large side wings and hip hugging contours.

However, possibly not so suitable if:
1. Getting in and out often on a slow and knarly track or
2. On a long trip where you might need to move around a bit in your seat.

A few colleagues had Recaro's fitted to their work 4WD's (after experiencing back trouble from the original Toyo seats) but after about 12 months were fed up with them due to above points.

Personally, I find the std Defender seats and seating position quite comfortable - even more so that the D2 seats.

Any more info as to how the final kit will fit. I have a Nuvi 760 and a 08 Defender, so it would be interesting to see what can be done.
