Defender 130 Audio upgrade. Advice

I really need to upgrade Dennis and his audio, few question

1 Is it straight forward swopping the LR head unit for another one? Take it i may have to just cut and crim some wires?

2 location of rear speakers ( its a DC 130 )

Swap over is easy enough. Just have to take out the cage and put a new one in that comes with the new unit. These will have a tab that bends over the dash cutout. Use pliers to ensure the crimp is secure. I used the original speaker wires for draw wires and pulled some new wires through and replaced the front speakers. I never bothered with rear speakers but have seen them positioned in the roof lining above the back window.

As for wiring up, if you pull out the panel with the cig lighter in it (assuming TDI model) this will help for feeding wires etc.

My rears are in the roof lining above the rear window. Plenty of room in the lining to.
