See the following in the Brisbane Times: Brisbane Times - For local Brisbane News, World News & Breaking News in Queensland, Australia (http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/)

The picture shows polluting, environment destroying, menacing 4X4s waiting for a barge to Fraser to go about their destructive business of killing the island.

The actual story is about walkers peeing & using suncream in a perched lake. No 4X4s mentioned.

It's all lies & deception all the time. Bugger!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad:

Yeah,
Most papers do this kind of thing. So what is new?
The only thing you can rely on in the papers is the date on the top, and it is best to check on that now.

Basin Lake (the one mentioned in the article) is obviously not the one shown in the photograph either as the one shown is a lot bigger than a "football field". But then there was probably no one swimming in Basin Lake when the photographer was there!!:o

The media always likes to go down the route of bashing 4WDs as they are such an emotive issue and makes for a better read.

If a child is knocked down by a 4WD in a residential street the press will report the type of car involved before mentioning any contributing factors such as having a drunk/drugged, disqualified driver in a stolen car doing 80kmh in a residential area. None of those details are important when you can show 4WDs in a bad light...
