An Expedition

Expedition : a body of persons, or a fleet, sent out for a specific purpose, 1693; an expeditionary force. (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/expedition) (italics mine)

As Defenders are the Verbs (doing vehicles) of the automotive world, they would of necessity be gathered for a specific purpose.

1x defender = a defender
2x defender = defenders

3x or more = defendees

DICTIONARY: a suspected cell has requisitioned a quantity of farm machinery to an isolated area is trying to wreak havoc on the economy by denying vital harvesting equipment to farmers. Because you are walking around & inspecting small details of the farm tools in question while discussing black market prices of modifications, your terror group will now be referred to as defendees.

a group of boxes:whistling:

TIM.

I was going to say a box of defenders, like the old english infantry(?) strategy of forming a box pattern, plus they are boxey.

But given I was beaten to it, how about a crescendo of defenders.

I can see why Dave likes "clutch" but too much like a handbag name.

Actually just a clot - a thrombosis may not be moving at all!

(The collective term for medical students, is a clot (or thrombosis) they accumulate around anything of even the most minor interest!)

Yes - medical students have been known as clots for at least 30 years to my knowledge and I'm sure it goes back much much further.

We all have our individual traits but we are recognised everywhere as a member of the "Fender Family" and made welcome in any location.
