OK call me crazy but I can't think of what else to do...

I'm on the track that runs parallel with Beckmans Rd in Tewantin. And I managed to miss judge some ruts...and now the rear diff is hanging and I'm not going anywhere! Of course I've left my recovery gear at home (yes, I'm having a great day).

So, if any of you are around the Tewantin area and would be willing to help a fellow Land Rover driver - I've got a red Defender - I'd be eternally thankful!!

Anyone out there?

We are here, just not there where you are!! Might have to fix this one 'Jungle Jim' style and find a branch or something to lever or wedge under a tyre.
Bet you wont forget the reco gear again!!??

i hope you are out of this by now as it is dark now, or real close to dark.
if you aren't, what he said above is a good start, if you can jack a wheel and shove something solid under it you may get out, i'm on the gold coast so not much use to you, but if you pm me, i may be able to give you a phone no of some nearer to you

Wow - I gave my mum a call to pick me up in her freelander...went around trying to find a 4wd store . No luck all the stores closed as it was 5:30...I said let's try the shopping center, and there in the carpark is a muddy Defender extream! Waited till they came back and went up and explained my problem. No worries mate! Nick (I think that's what he said his name was...lives out at Boren Point) was the nicest guy - and has a very sweet rig! - followed us out to where I was stuck and pulled me out no problem! Next thing you know a policeman turns up seeing if we're ok...then he's checking out our 110's saying I'd be out here too if I wasn't working!

So I'm out - and thanks to Nick (hope I've got his name right!) I was saved the indignity of having a jap 4wd pull me out! :) Defender drivers are the best! And I'm never going anywhere without recovery gear!!

Hey,

Call me next time...... I will come get you.

I get stuck, you come get me... My Landy likes to wander too....! I was fanging around the state forest this arvo.. great stuff. PM me for details. I am near Caloundra.

A friend in need is a friend in deed.... Even if they own a defender...

But seriously.... next time, if I can help....... No problem. :)

Look forward to hearing from you if your interested.

Best regards

Jay

I'm another who if your stuck again could possibly give you a hand if I'm home on the coast or see if Dad can help you out if I'm not. We are at Cooroy so a bit closer to your end of the coast.
